Getting Started With Pest Control

Some of us like to take care of things ourselves. When we have pests, especially the ones we really dislike, we need to get rid of them fast. Any way we can. Clean all cabinets, drawers, counters, sinks, stove, oven, microwave, tables and floors.

• Food spills behind and under thing, like the refrigerator, stove, microwave, toaster, etc.
• Keep all food, including pet food, in sealed containers or the refrigerator.
• Keep recyclables and garbage outside.
• Remove any clutter, including laundry piles, newspapers, etc.

Bottom line…

• Get rid of their food sources. Clean, scrub, vacuum, shampoo.
• Get rid of their water sources. Remove any standing water inside or outside around your house. Look for and repair any plumbing leaks.
• Seal any cracks in your walls and around pipes, inside and out.
• Clear the area around your home. Stacks of wood should not be up against the house. Bushes and trees should not be touching the house. Garbage cans should be closed tight.
